I agree distilled water is the best additive. Out of curiousity, though, when would you use battery acid instead of water????

The only case I know of, is if the battery somehow got tipped over and spilled the acid, even then, you would need to know the state of charge to know what strength of acid to add back. For practical purposes, the answer is probably "never".
