I posted this under another thread, but thought I'd drop it here also.
I removed original bottom step box (4 screws buried in carpet) leading up to the bedroom, made a new box slightly larger with the step (lid) hinged w/a piano hinge, re-stapled the original capet back on, & screwed to floor & back wall.
Voila - shoe/whatever hidden storage!
Sorry 'bout the poor quality images - raining cats 'n dogs outside & didn't wanna open the slides. Also, this would only work with '05 or older rigs. I beleive the furnace is under the bottom step in the newer ones...
