Replacement bed for 3400

We are about to take delivery of a new 3400. We know we will want a better bed than the one that comes with the unit. We know several people who have bought the Tempurpedic beds, and love them. Has anyone looked in to the possibility of installing a Tempurpedic bed in a coach?

I'm afraid I can't say about Temurpedics, but we bought a Comfort Aire, (cheaper than the Select Comfort, but same thing,) mattress right away, after seeing the mattress was no better than the one in our 2004 Monty.

It's great to be able to adjust either side for however much pressure we prefer at any given time. That's one thing a Tempurpedic can't do.

It was ordered as standard Queen size. Not sure if there's a problem if you have teh king-sized bed option. Might be a little squeeze at the corners.

Steve

Just a thought.

We did this http://www.bearbeds.com/ same as the sleep number bed .Standard queen 60X80 fits the 3400 just fine. Very nice setup....

I also don't have any experience with mattress you described but in our 3075RL we went looking for a replacement mattress and found the size was critical, normal king size was just 4 inches too long. Then we found The Original Mattress Factory where they make your mattress to your specifications. If you want an odd size they charge an extra $50. The mattress is great, fits fine when we put the slide in, and it isn't too hard for my wife to modify sheets to fit better. This place is in Richmond, VA www.originalmattress.com

We have a 3295 with the origional equiped king mattress and it was so bad we replaced it with a Wal-Mart foam mattress that was 5 inches of dense foam and 3 inches of memory foam. It is very comfortable and a bit longer than the origional, but it does fit when we close the slide. We also converted it to a queen to give us more room to get into the front closet. Besides camping is supposed to be cuddly.
