Heading for Quartsite
We are leaving South for the Quartzsite gathering on the 18Th of Jan, tomorrow morning. Our driveway is finally cleared of all snow so that should be no problem now. A new storm with lots of wind and rain is coming on New Years Day so we have a window of opportunity to leave. Silverdale, Wa and all of Western WA got hit perty hard this winter. We had originally planned to leave on Dec 11, but with Monty and weather problems had delayed our departure. Can't wait to be in warmer, dryer weather.

Dennis, we are right behind you. The temp this am is 38. Maybe no chains on the 3.8 mile of county road that yesterday still had packed snow and ice on it. See ya there.

Dennis,
If things work out plan on stopping by for the night or at least for a dinner get together. Have a safe trip.
Dick and Toni,
Glad to hear you may get to make a break for it. Let us know how it's going. We'll look for you in a few days. Have a safe journey.

The rally starts on the 17th instead of the 18th....so, you can get here sooner! We'll turn the light on for ya.
A hint about the dry weather here compared to Washington State:
AAAAAAAAAHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Keep it safe, but get here!

Robbie, we are at Big River RV Park in Big River, CA just across the river from Parker right now. Enjoying the blue skies, warm weather (compared to the Seattle area where it is snowing right now) and sunshine. We left Silverdale on Dec 31 and arived here today Jan 4. Looking forward to seeing everyone at Q. We have reservations for 2 weeks here, so we will arive at Q on the 18th.

Dennis,
I am so glad you made it down here safely!
Big river is a real nice park.
If you have the time (LOL) take the hike at the Buckskin Mountain SP....and make sure you make it up to the Nellie E. Saloon (Desert Bar), only open on the weekends......and well worth the dusty dirt road trip. Also, go see the Parker dam!!....and go see the RV park at Black Meadow Landing.....guess that should keep you busy for a while, but if you need more.......
Ok, understand you have reservations through the 17th, we'll leave the light on for ya at Q....watch for the posted coordinates....or you could call me and I'll could give you point-to-point directions! LOL
Glad you made it out of the PNW!
