Between Jackson Hole & Yellowstone - where to camp

We're heading to the Jackson Hole/Grand Tetons and Yellowstone area in the last part of June. I'm looking to find a recommendation of a park or campground BETWEEN these two parks that can easily accommodate our 38' long Monte.

Your recommendations will be greatly appreciated, as well as any other pertinent information.

We stayed at Grand Teton Park RV Resort, Highway 26/287 Moran, WY.

Colter Bay Village Campground on the lake remains one of our favorites in the whole country. We easily made a day trip to Yellowstone. I do not know of any other suitable campgrounds BETWEEN Grand Tetons and Yellowstone, but I'll be glad to see if someone else does.

I thought I gave one? campground was clean, had pull thorough, staff was nice. Not a lot of amenities at the CG but was close to Jackson Hole and scenic places.

Hope the price has come down from last year for the Grand Teton Park RV Resort. We stayed there last August for three nights and it was almost $300. I guess they are under new ownership and management, so maybe they finally lowered their prices. We found the people very friendly, but the park is seriously needing a major overhaul. We wanted to stay inside Yellowstone, but when we finally knew what dates, it was too late to get in, so make reservations early if you want in the park.

Hi Steves, I was thinking that Colter Bay was more "between" than Grand Teton Resort, so I was only speaking relative to something between Colter Bay and Yellowstone. Maybe I was wrong.

Has anyone ever stayed at Flagg Ranch? We've ran the road from Flagg over to Ashton Idaho. Not recommended in the spring. Here is a campground with limited services. Some do have electric but not sure how long you will be there. If you need anything of the area let me know. I have elk hunted that area for almost 20 years. http://www.gtlc.com/lodging/gtlc-cam...os-ventre.aspx
By the way Gros Ventre is pronounced Gro Vonte'.

For dry camping checkout Gros Ventre Campground, north of Jackson but south of Moose, WY. On the east side of hwy 26, a few miles east. If you have the senior pass I paid $10.50 a nite a few years ago. Very rustic but plenty of room and easy access to Jackson and Yellowstone. Be sure and use your senior pass for Yellowstone.
