Info on Pin ox Upgrades

Afternoon Group,

Looking for information on pin box upgrades. We are pulling a 2018 381TH with a F350 and B&W hitch. I bit softer ride from the trailer is what the agenda. Just now starting to look so we are fairly open minded about things. Would like to hear from people that have upgraded to a cushioned ride pin box.

Thanks in Advance
Leon & Beverly Black

I upgraded to a Trailair box and are happy with it. I think any of the air ride boxes are about equal. They all do the same thing. If I were you I would check them out and choose the one that suits me. That will probably be the cheapest or the one most convenient for you to get.

Agree with Lynwood 100% It's all about what you like the best and how much money you want to spend on the ride of you Rig.

We've had MorRyde pin boxes on both of our Montanas and over 80,000 miles later we are very happy with them.

I installed a Reese 5th Airborne on ours. Completely eliminated all bucking and chucking. I used to grit my teeth when going over bridge transitions. Now I still grit me teeth, and then wonder why because I don't feel them at all anymore. I can see the trailer move independently from the truck through the side mirror.

I liked the 5th Airborne over Trailair because it was cheaper and the air bag is protected from the elements.

We upgraded to this and knew within a mile of the swap that we had made the right decision.

I just installed one, but I think it is defective. The bottom metal ring that secures the bottom donut to the lower jaw is off center to the right side (looking from the front) about 1-1/2", making the bag slanted. Does this sound right? I can't a picture to attach.
