2013 Ram

Still no Mopar hitch for the 2013 Ram, but they have come out with an adapter that will lock in the four holes and then a standard rail hitch can be used.

When I saw it at the rally, the holes were still there, so I imagine his is installed the old fashioned way. He does have a great bed cover, however.

For those who have a 2013 3500 with the 5th wheel prep kit, Ram has a "picture frame adapter" that fits into the four holes. They are about $400+ and are hard to get, if you call Chysler with your vin # they will put you on a priority list. I believe most hitches will attach to the adapter. Others with the prep kit have gone to a Reese gooseneck ball and the Anderson Ultimate hitch, which is light weight and looks like a pyramid with a ball on top; has a special adapter to go on your pin.

My truck does not have the prep kit and I have the B&W Turnover Ball/5th Wheel Companion installed. Trying to sell my Reese 18K Signature Series 5th Wheel hitch with Blue Ox bedsaver as Reese told me they will most likely NOT have a kit for the 2013 3500 RAM.
Anyone with questions, PM me.

I had email conversation with Reese customer service last month about the mounting brackets/rails for the 2013 Ram and they told me that they are being told that they may be available by the end of August. Hopefully they will as I prefer to keep my Reese hitch and not have to go to the B&W companion hitch. Of course I am holding off trading for the 2013 until this hitch issue is resolved. This has been a big snafu for Dodge! First I've heard of the Ford setup fitting the Dodge.

Dealership in Des Moines, IA had 3 adapters in stock. Can't imagine the ford Reese hitch fitting as the holes are much farther apart on the Ram.

I have a 2010 diesel 3500 dodge ram. Does anyone out there use a bully dog or other tuner? If so what were your results. Performance, mileage, etc.

Lwayne, you might want to start a new thread with an appropriate topic to get some response to your question. I can't help you. I've always run my 2007 Ram pure stock as it has more than enough power for me.

Well that is certainly a thread hijack. You might want to make it a seperate post to get more response.
