Screen Door jamming

OK, my 2013 Montana screen door has been giving us problems closing and opening. It would jam, and make it difficult to open both doors. So today I decided to take a good look at the hinges and try and figure out what was going on.

I found that the upper left corner (opening side) was hitting the frame and making it difficult to open/close.

I looked over the hinges and could not find the problem.

BAM!!! I figured it out!!!!

Not what you would expect. It was the switch that turns on the ceiling lights! It was hard to push in and was sticking. I sprayed some lubricant on the switch and now the door works perfect!

Who ever would of thought the switch?

Had the same problem and found lubricating was only a temporary fix, I actually took the switch out and enlarged the hole to be able to move it a bit so the door frame contacted it on a better angle and I have had no problems since. Nothing wrong with the idea, and all they had to do was move the thing a small amount and no one would have the problem. Another engineering marvel by someone who never goes camping in one.

We also had the same problem but did a different fix. I stuck a toothpick in it and broke it off so it is always in. Did this cause we have been living in the 5er with out cats for the last 2 months while our house was being remodeled. We were leaving the door open for the cats to go in and out and didn't want the lights burning the whole time. Now that our remodel is almost finished I will have to do something else. Don't really know what.
