We also cannot get the discount because we have the Verizon AirCard but a Cingular phone. Maybe it's time to switch the phone.

We have the unlimited version of the aircard service. Does anyone know if we get the verizon phone and ask for this discount whether they will stop and restart our aircard service, thus putting us on the limited aircard service? We don't want that to happen.

the aircard has its own contract and is not tied to any voice contract.
the addition of a voice contract to your verizon account should not affect aircard contract.

Evdoalex if I get a verizon telephone and want to tether my aircard to it will they change my unlimited contract to a limited one? I don't understand very well what tethering means.

Just as a matter of information, my wife and I just got new phones on Saturday. We each had individual America's Choice plans and I queried them about going to one plan, keeping our two numbers. They pointed out that this can be done but we'd make out better if I was made the owner of her phone because now I get the discount on her phone as well. It turned out that we save about $8.00. I'll know for sure when I get the next bills.
