Maiden Voyage

Have owned the Monty since last August but this will be her Maiden Voyage! 😎 The truck is a cherry too! 🤢 so it will be a first for both ( and their honeymoon too)! got the new B&W 18k companion hitch and the firestone airbags 👍🏻 Also the tst 507flow-thru tpms. Already got the Lre4100 suspension with wet bolt kit, just need the disc upgrade! So it’s all about the Oregon coast for a week to try it all out. We ARE full-timers btw!

Finally got to leave on vacation and the Maiden Voyage of the entire system! Wow! You really have to think it through when NONE of the truck trailer setup has been together before (and then add the nut behind the wheel . Well we backed in hitched up pre-tripped 40 times and then hit the road! Well 2017 RAM 3500 SRW 6800 miles has never towed, brand new hitch installation ! New firestone bags. Never pulled this trailer , ever! RAM engine specs said to pull load with-in the 1st 6k Miller’s for proper fit and finish of the engine.
The whole setup ran like a clock, no purposing, bucking, chucking at all! Just a smooth ride. I set up the hitch to the highest position and all the way forward, rig sits level with 25 lbs in the air bags. Pulls as straight as an arrow. havn’t Had. To panic stop for a moron, yet! But the brakes seem to do pretty good, but I could see a disc set too! Oh, and the degrees!

Also hooked up the tst507 flo-thru tpms system! It works perfectly! I did have an issue with a slightly stripped valve stem so I bought a metal stem extender and seems problem solved. It is really nice that I look up on the dash and see that all my tires have stable temps and pressures! Sure relieves a lot of worry about the unknown and the walk around at every stop helps confirm It!

Welcome to the forum. We did our research and did the same thing as first and full timers. Currently heading up the west coast a little at a time.

Sounds good .We also have the Mor Ryde roll out it is a handy gadget. Helen does not have to crawl into the compartment to get stuff. We have had the TST 507 since day one and it has alerted us of PSi loss a few times. It is another handy gadget. You are off to a very good start.

Well, thus ends a perfect trip! Only down side was the wife under the weather for alergies. The weather on the Oregon coast was 70 and sunshine! Awesome! The vehicle ran perfectly! Am thinking my next project will be solar. We want to be grid-free. The RAM pulls like a Borax Mule Team! (Someone explain that to the kids ). Pulled some passes with never a kick down. Mileage avg started at 19 and dropped to 12 in the mtns.
