What Mountains

Navigating the Smoky and Allegheny Mountains was a non-event in the 2011 F350 6.7 L with SRW. With the tow/haul there was very little need for braking. I thought 11.5 was reasonable mileage for mountain running. It was a beautiful trip with outstanding fall colors.

Stiles, that sounds like your dream machine, when I upgraded from my old 7.3 to the 6.7 it was like day and night in power, climbing hills and making them flat. have many happy pulling miles.

The mountains here are pretty. You should try them with 580 HP.

I don't know why I fear the dreaded mountains but I do. As an inactive private pilot I've flown above 'em and through 'em, but there's a fear pulling this Goliath up or down them. However, your post Stiles is very encouraging to me. Thanks for sharing....just maybe, maybe, someday soon! : ) D

Art, Don's 6.7 is the Dodge Cummins.

Stiles, everything I've heard about the Ford 6.7 is good. I'm glad to hear yours is doing well. I've towed just about every mountain range this country has to offer with both this Dodge and our Fords. I don't think you'll have any problems with any of them.
