Grass grows while we travel at the stick house

I have walked the yard, asking the grass politely that it just slow down. I don't feed or water it, I encourage the Grubs to nibble away, Moles, Voles and Woodchucks ravage it. Unfortunately it's like Jason from Halloween; just won't quit, keeps coming back.
I took bids on someone to mow it, have to go with commercial companies as the little spoiled game-playing, texting, skateboarding snits in the neighborhood don't even take the trash out for their mom and dads, let alone actually look for work.
I found a hard working couple that just bought a foreclosed home to buy. In our conversation I learned that while vacant, some low-life crack smoking blight on society stole the A/C unit from it.
I happen to have a shop full of good solid units I changed out because people wanted to spend 6 or 8 grand to change their perfectly goods systems out to get a tax credit. So I am trading an installed A/C unit for my grass cutting this summer.
So, Mr and Mrs grass, thrive and prosper!

I just find that so hard to believe. Those highly skilled technical teenagers not able to mow the yard.

Well come to think of it, my neighborhood is the same way. Right across the street from me is a couple of teenagers and you never see them behind a lawn mower. But you will sure see mom out there when the dad is away on a business trip.

The only house on my street that is mowed by the kids who live there is the house next door. It is the girls even. The boy is still to young/small to push the mower but I have seen him out there pushing the broom when they are done several times. They also have to keep the house and pool clean. According to the girls "Dad" is a mean old man. I just laugh and tell them they do not realize how good they really got it.

I hear you OZZ. I have rental a house that I had to evict the tenant for non-payment (guy was upset 'cause I only let him get 6 months behind) but, anyway, house was empty for a while and some scum-sucker broke in and stole the hot-water heater!
Left the wiring and plumbing hanging! Maggot.

Plant green concrete. The upfront cost is a bit pricey, but you'll never have to pour $4 gas into the lawn mower.
