Hitch rating on 3750FL
Will be taking delivery of our 2011 3750FL April 29th,
Does anyone know what the hitch rating on the back of the unit is, is it just for bike racks / cargo carriers or can you pull something like a small boat or trailer??
I have a small trailer rated at 800# carrying capacity that would be very useful for our misc "stuff" we carry around.

I believe the rating for the hitch is standard across the Montana line ... 200 pounds.
Bingo will know for sure as he has the same unit.

There is probably some brochure or document somewhere you'll need to find that probably states no more than 200-250 lbs.
Congratulations on that new rig. That is a very popular floor plan now.

200 pounds, there is a sticker on the receiver. It is not a two inch receiver either, but rather the smaller size 1 1/4" type. We will be using a two inch bike rack and got a 2" to 1 1/4" adapter from Harbor Freight. I will be using side straps to stabilize the rack as well. An 800 pound capacity trailer should only have a tongue weight of 100-200 pounds (depending on how it is loaded).

You also may want to check with local towing laws...some places towing a trailer behind a trailer is not legal. Would also like to congratulate you on your new Montana...happy trails!

If you shop around you can get a fully loaded unit for under $50,000 as long as you are not trading anything in. Fully loaded not including the Big Sky package of course.
