Roof leak

Some of the staples that hold the aluminum roof radius flashing to the wood roof deck are coming loose and wearing holes in the rubber roof - If anyone has had this problem, share with me the solution- removing the rubber roofing to make repairs is beyond my experience and will be $$$$- a 7 year old coach is way out of warranty so the cost will be mine- OUCH?! thanks in advance for your input- Don

How about using eterna bond tape on the area where the staples are coming through, after resetting the staples a litle deeper with a punch? You've already got the hole in the roof, so resetting the staples might do the trick, squeeze some sealant in the hole and after cleaning with alcohol, put a piece of tape over the hole(s).
Just my opinion, It would be a LOT sheaper than a roof.

Like Rickety said, I would set the staples Then I would use the Dicor sealant on the spot. This is the same the dealers and Keystone uses around the ladder and vents and etc. It would not take but a small amount on each spot.

It is also good to check for any damage. A simple way is to look for screws in the wall that penetrate the fiberglass. Pull one or two samples and look for corrosion. If no corrosion, then all is well. Put the screws back remembering to add some sealant around them. If there is corrosion, it is a good idea to look deeper into the problem before it gets worse. There are any number of anti corrosion products. LPS comes to mind as a particularily good brand. It is used extensively in the aviation industry.
