Ours was DOA when we purchased our Mountianeer last spring. Dealer replaced it with a new one under warranty that has worked great so far!!

Mine has worked great. But I put it in to the charger then take it out of charger and put it drawer, when it gets weak I then recharge it. Rechargeable battery's don't like Constance charging and don't like being taken out used little bit and then back in and then back out of the charger. they get a memory effort and usually end up being only able to charge to like 45 50%. and then battery dies. I think these type battery only last about 500 recharge cycles. much less if not allowed to drain way down before being charged again.

I agree with Brad, that little flashlight is my friend. I always know where it is, and I grab it as I go out the door.

I didn't realize that so many people relied on it so much.
I also believe that it is a piece of junk, but it is a great idea having it mounted right next to the door.

I guess I will go to my Montana dealer and get a new one for $12.00.
Cheap enough.
