Flashlight

The small rechargeable flashlight located by the door in my Montana, has died.
Does anyone know where I can get a replacement?
It is really handy to grab this light on the way out at night.
Thank You.

GP, Do a search for "rechargeable flashlight". You will find a thread there on this subject......

I'd just go buy a real one. I notice the lens on ours is cracked but it keeps on ticking.....
Oh well somethings go on for ever.

Send a message via MSN to Parrothead
Montana dealers have them. Service department should have them in stock.
Happy trails......................

Junk from the start. Got rid of it. Picked up a wind up generated light, no batteries. Works really well.

That is one of those nice features that looks nice and makes a great conversation piece but Keystone got a bad batch of those. When my unit was new the dealer opened up two new boxes before we found one that would work.
Save the hassel and go invest in something at Wally World that will work for you when you need it.

These things were junk from way back. I think keystone got a deal if they purchased a ship load of them from china. The crank up light is what I changed to also. When I go to rv shows I like to try out those mounted units.I find only 50% work.

Mine just recently died and all it needed was a bulb. I've never had a problem with it until the bulb died. On first look, I thought the bulb was sealed inside, but later found the two latches below the lens. A trip to Home Depot for new bulbs and back in operation.

I replaced the bulb in the little rectangular black flashlight that came with my Montana. The bulbs came in a package of two so I put the spare bulb inside the flashlight housing so if it wears out again I can find it.

Knock on wood, haven't had a problem with mine. It is very handy when you need to use it at night. I do like the fact it has the magnet. I've used it many times this winter when going out to change out my propane tanks at night. I think I might just buy a replacement this summer in case they discontiue carrying it in stock. $12 isn't bad at all.

I'd throw that piece of crap away. It's just that eye candy that Keystone thought you just had to have.

Here is a tip I use at home. My back door is steel, so I picked up a dead hard drive at a local computer store and removed the magnets. After seperating the magnet from it's housing with a screwdriver I hot glued the magnet to my wally world LED. Works like a champ. Happy camping.....

That little flashlight is my friend! It is the ONLY flashlight I can ever find when I need one, and it has seen me through many repairs on the road.

As a part timer, I hesitate to invest too much on anything rechargeable, as it spends a lot of time disconnected. $12 is about right for me.

We are going into our third year with our Montana and we have not had an issue with ours. In fact, last year after we de-winterized, I couldn't find it. Then I remembered that I had used the magnetic feature when I was working on switching the pump to put in the RV antifreeze. Took off the cover and there it was - still turned on and lighting up the inside of the pump area. Just kidding about the fact that it was still lit. But, it recharged just fine.
