ieSpell

I had my hard drive go down and had to do a recovery. After that happened I can not get ieSpell. Is it down or am I just not holding my mouth right when I push the button?

Yipes, so do I. I wonder if I can just email the .exe file to you?
No, on second thought it won't work because there are quite a few files that run that program. Maybe try tomorrow. Maybe Admin. can help.
Happy trails...................

PJ or is it Nan? You can try this link.

Spellbound

I'm not sure if it will be a button or if you'll have to right click or go up to tools to use it in Firefox, but it does work, or at least it did. Silly me it's in the tool bar up top or on a right click. Time for beddy bye I think.

See you at the Rally!

After Doug's question about a spell checker for IE, I had the same question re FireFox. I found and installed AspellFox from
http://www.svarteper.com/ff/aspellfox/
It works O.K. though not as well as ieSpell. I am having problems with adding words to the directory, but it is most likely a user error (mine).

RC and Samantha suggested SpellBound, so I gave it a try. Turns out the link supplied is for an older version which will not install on FireFox 1.5.0.7 (or most any any other 1.5.0.x level). There is a development version of SpellBound which does work (apparently very well) with current versions of FireFox. The development version is at:
http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=351130

But before you get carried away, the new FireFox 2.0 will include a Spell Checker natively. FF 2.0 is due to be released on 9/26/2006, so it might be smart to just sit and wait for a few more days. You will have to un-install SpellBound anyway when you install FF 2.0 (at least that is what I read)
