Damaged 2011 Silverado truck bed

Hit my truck box when I turned too tight. I had no issues with my 2005 3500 SRW Silverado but the 2011 Silverado box is taller. I raised the Husky hitch to the highest position (gained about 1 inch) - still have clearance issues with the back of pin box and the truck bed. I was thinking of lowering the pin box to the next position but after looking at the posts I may trim about a 1" deep angle off the rear of the pin box mount as I read in one of the posts.

Are there others with newer model trucks that have had the same issue.

My pin box is a Lippert Item 175129

IIRC, our 09 bed is 2.5" deeper than the 04 GMC was. When we go to the stick house, I drop the tailgate a few inches to avoid hitting it with the pin box. First time home, I dimpled the top of the tail gate. We still have no problem on level ground.
