3500RL Sliding Doors
Help! The sliding doors to the living room on my Monti 3500 seem to come unlatched almost every time we travel. I have had to repair the track and replace it already now its all bent to heck again!! I have tried every thing I can think of to keep the latches from poping out in travel. My next step is the old Duct tape!!! My Darling Beth aint gonna like that!! But I cant think of anyway to solve the problem short of heavier latches. Beth wants me to take it back to the dealer but thats a major project in it's self. Any one got an Idea or recomend a good type latch I can use that wont look bad?

If it is still under warranty, I'd let the dealer fix it.

I also have the 3500rl with the doors....Do yours latch on the bottom? Mine do and I have never had one open yet. I just drug mine from Las Vegas to Elko today over some crappy roads...no problems but now I will be looking everytime....Mike

Yep! Railroad thats the setup I have. When I start off they are tight but almost every time the left side comes out. I think maybe it is just a little off alignment or something gonna try removing it and reinstall it up a bit higher.

Would a piece of wood, cut to fit the opening between the two doors, help lock them in place while traveling?

Try a heavy duty adjustable spring loaded curtain or shower rod between the doors. You could try using two, one at the top, and one at the bottom.
My wife really would like to have a 3500 like yours. She thinks the enclosed living is great.
