New Monty ???

Think the bug to trade has bitten us. We are seriously considering trading our 2003 3295RK for a 2006 3475RL. Had a good deal offered to us at Northgate RV in Knoxville, TN. Must say the folks at this dealership were delightful and the service we had done there was great. However, we decided before making the final decision to contact the dealer we purchased our 3295RK from in Buford, GA - Camper City. We have been happy with the service and people at Camper City and felt we should give them the opportunity to at least give us a quote. So tomorrow we are going to look at the new unit and if we make a positive decision will take delivery by the end of the week. (They just happen to have the one we want in stock). Will keep you posted. We have free WiFi at this campground, but will be moving on tomorrow. Will get back on the forum as soon as we land somewhere for a few days. Have missed all of you this summer. Good to be back on the road!!

Hi Glenn,
Noticed you are already in Fl. Watch out for that hurricane headed your way. We have been in WV working on the vacation house. Only have a very slow modem hook up there (which ties up the only phone line) so was not able to keep up with the forum. Sure have missed everyone. Hope we can make a connection during the winter. Where are you all staying this winter? Still haven't signed on the dotted line for a new unit, but think we are getting close. Will probably make a definite decision by tomorrow afternoon. Good to hear from you. Noticed no recent posts from Steve & Vicki, they must not have internet service wherever they are.

Hi Joyce, Just read another thread where you just left River Plantation in Pigeon Forge. We just left Pigeon Forge last Thursday. Had I known we could have hung around a few more days.

At this point in time we are just hanging at Salt Springs until Wilma makes up her mind which way she's gonna go. We plan on heading down to Port Richey for a week or so and make a final decision at that point as to our winter location. As it stands right now we are looking closely at Avalon RV Park in Clearwater but who knows.

Joyce, when you get back down to Camper City in Buford tell Jeff and the group HI! for us. We had planned on being through there by now but we won't get there until close to the end of Nov. I was glad to hear that you were going back to Camper City. We've been very pleased with service and the entire group. They have always been there for us,and while we were still living in Suwanee it wasn't a normal weekend if we did not visit Camper City. Safe travels and enjoy your new Monty. Marge

Joyce, congrts. on being biten by "The Bug", it happens to the best of us. May I ask you were in WVa. you have your vacation home? We spend time in WVa. at different times of the year, outside of Beckley. Are you somewhere close? Thinking for next spring or summer?

Joyce, glad to hear from you again. The 3475 is a very nice floorplan. We've seen two of them in the past week and would have to consider them if we were looking for a new Monty. If you have any questions about them, email adelmoll. She'll give you the scoop.

You're right about Steve and Vicki being out of touch. We traveled with them to Zion for our "mini-rally" after Reno and we had no connections, not even cell phones, at the campground. But they should be back soon as they now have Wi-Fi.

We have had our 3475 alomost six months. Love it. Sure you will love yours. To us it is not camping only having your cabin on wheels behind you. We are part timers. Towed miles, 4500. Nights spents. ?. Enjoyed, YA!!!!

Congrats, Joyce and Tom! I am taking innoculations to avoid that particular bug. It took so long to get this one "just right" that I cringe at the thought of doing all that customization again. However, all those upgrades to the newer models make them so much nicer than our old 2003 model.

Paulrem, I think you told me when we chatted awhile back but I forgot... which park do you use in the Beckley area?

John & Marge, Gave your hellos to Jeff and staff at Camper City. Said they were wondering where you guys were traveling now.
Paul & Sue, Our vacation home is in the Potomac Highlands area of the eastern panhandle between Keyser & Romney. This is a beautiful part of WV at the northern end of the Shenadoah valley.
Steve, got a chuckle our of your reply. Too bad we didn't get those innoculations....too late now. LOL Took delivery last Saturday of the new unit. A lot less storage space than the 3295RK, but we love the living room area. Told Tom we would just have to eat out more since I gave up the bigger kitchen for the larger living room. Tom says this unit tows much smoother than the old one. So far we love it, but still trying to get everything reorganized.

Just curios if you bought from Northgate or Camper City. We bought our new 3295 from Northgate in Hixson, Tn. Great people at all three locations. Enjoy your New Montana. We live in E.Tennessee ourselves. Maybe we will meet up some day.

Hi Michael & Diana, We ended up buying from Camper City in Buford (just outside Atlanta). We purchased our first MOntana from them and were happy with the service we received. We did go to Northgate in Louisville, TN and Jeremy was very nice. He gave us his best offer on the 3475 he had in stock and we told him we wanted to think on it for a while. We called Jeff at Camper City to see if he had the same unit in stock and were surprised that he did even down to the same color (Spruce) interior. Jeff gave us only a slightly better deal, but since we had bought from Camper City two years ago and were happy with them, we decided to give them our repeat business. Where are you in east TN? We have close friends near Philadelphia and we claim Cleveland as our domicile. When we get tired of traveling we will probably settle back in east TN.

We're from Chattanooga and love this area. We camp quite a bit at Chester Frost Park. They have a beautifull campground on the lake and it's a great place to camp. We really like E.Tenn and spend a little time in Sevierville and the Pigeon Forge area too. Congrats again on the new Montana I know you will enjoy it. Hope we see it in person one day.
