Allison, congrats on that great day. We have been retired for a year and a half, what a great life. Yesterday we had to make a major decision, go for a walk or go bike riding, hopefully, your retirement won't be as stressful. Best of luck and enjoy.

Congratulations! You will find that every now and then you miss work, just go back to sleep and you will get over it. The young folks say we are over the hill, little do they know that the hill of life is really a mesa. Steep on both ends but wide and flat on top. Welcome to the top!

Thank you everyone for wishing me the best. I'm sure I'll get use to it very quickly. One of my grown kids today told me that when she retires, she's not using that word, because it sounds like you're going to a retirement home She said everyone should replace that word "Retire" with "Graduated from Work" instead ....sounds good to me! I hope to make it to a rally, but I have to get a bunch of things together before I take off, and I'm having a big party at the campground that will be a combination of a Birthday Party, Graduation from Work, and Going Away Party, which is scheduled for May. I'll be out of Ohio as soon as I can get to moving. I'll definetly keep an eye on the "Rally" Threads so I'll be able to get to one this summer. Take care guys!

Hi Allison We'd like to add our congratulations, also. A little late.. but we have been so busy having fun that we haven't been online as much as usual. Retirement is amazing. It does take a little while to realize you don't have a time schedule. But, it is a fabulous journey. Take care and safe travels.

Congratulations! Hope you enjoy it as much as we do. Maybe now you can enjoy a little warmer place during the winter. See ya at the next campfire.

Congratulations!!! It will seem like you are just on vacation for a couple of months, and then it will soak in. It is AWESOME!!! I'm 3-1/2 years in, and I couldn't go back to work if I wanted to!

congratulations. I (jan)will be joining your ranks in two weeks--i just call it "quit working" instead of retiring (makes me feel younger that way) You don't retire until you can get SS (at least in my book)

Congratulations, Allison. We don't think retirement we think "new life style." And that it is, so enjoy!
