black side walls on MHC

The slide walls on our 305RL MHC are back, the the heat transfer in the summer is incredible, our colors are light gray & black, has anyone ever painted the slide walls to match the light gray?

You can but the black finish is backed on and if you use regular paint over time the seals
will rub off what ever kind of paint you use.

This has been something I've often thought about. What designer came up with the idea to paint an RV black. Predominant use of most RV's is in warm weather. Things that make you go hmmmmmmm....!

I have made several post this subject .We have a 2013 3402 Big Sky that is painted Black, Two shades of gray and a little white. We have shot temps of 124 degrees on the black parts of the Rv and over 90 degrees on the inside walls. IMO this is the cause of a lot of the "we can't keep our Montana cool" post .No we cant keep our pretty Big Sky cool in 107 degree temps in the direct sunlight and both A/C,s are working perfectly.
