So far, no buyers for the KOA ($1.5 million) have appeared. What a shame, too, because the property is absolutely beautiful--lots of trees, and it's bordered on one side by the Beaverhead River. (Unfortunately, there are no hookups of any kind on the river side, so it's tent camping only.)

We had the pleasure of watching the people in the rig next to us walk their big dog over to the yard area behind our RV to do his business this morning. Of course they didn't pick it up! I'm sure they didn't know we were looking out the back window and watching them. Irlpguy, even if we reported what happened, nothing would be done, and we'd end up being the problem-causers because we complained.

We've stayed at several KOAs during our travels but have never stayed where some sort of rules weren't enforced. I'm sure there are other parks where "anything goes" is the rule, so I know our situation isn't unique. But boy, do we love places like 7 Feathers in Oregon where things are orderly and enjoyable for everyone staying there! (We surely hate to miss the June rally there, but we have family coming from Texas that week and their plans can't be changed because their vacations are dictated by their jobs.)

We always avoid KOA except as a last resort for all the reasons stated above.
KOA is our last resort too. Although we have never had a problem with neighbors...their prices are normally very high.

We have been in a Couple of KOAS's like that near resort areas. We actually prefer KOA's when travelling place to place as you usually know what you are going to get. Except for high tourist areas we do not feel KOA is any more expensive that any other comparable C.G. We were in one I forget where now that had those bikes for rent and it was not a good experience.

When on the road our first try is any P.A C.G if it is not to far out of the way. KOA'a are usually near the interstates.
