Remember on any of these pin box systems you can encounter conditions that will exceed the design spec's of the system such as very rough roads. Our clunking is only on hard starts or stops and is rare. That goes for chucking. On a washboard road you will chuck some as the system can't keep up with it..Don't fall for the marketing crap.... If so..buy a pair of Foster grants..

Jack, you'll just have to get one of those crew cab dually long box jobs to pull and eliminate that chucking! LOL.
Now there's a thought

I checked my spring block yesterday and it is a #5. So given that and that the white spacers are only moving about an inch forward and back, I am beginning to think the "clunking" noise is coming from the hitch seeing as how I only get the noise when starting and stopping. I will start investigating the hitch and see what I can come up with.

I have an older Reese hitch and a MorRyde pinbox. I get some clunking in mine but it is coming from the legs. They are a bit loose so they pull up and down a bit. about every 3000 miles or so I take the hitch off and put two layers of old inner tube over the rails and put the extensions through the tubes. When the clunking gets bad I do it again. I would like to find a more permanent solution.

Wow...that makes sense. I have a Reese as well and will check that out and apply your fix to see if that rectifies the problem. If I come up with a more permanent solution I will let you know. Thanks!
