Installing a Honda Eu3000is
The front compartment, under the nose of my 374fl, is supposed to be where a generator goes.
There is also a generator button in my panel.
How do I hard wire in my Honda to my electrical system up there ?

The onboard generator enclosure is built for an Onan generator, which is specifically designed to operate in an enclosed space. The Honda is not designed for such an application, in fact it would be very dangerous to attempt operating a Honda in that enclosure.

Add exhaust tube, and flex pipe to outside.

A Honda generator I would think would get too hot in there without some elaborate fan system. As stated above the exhaust is another issue, carbon monoxide is odorless and a killer.

Don't even think about it Mark! Installing a Honda in the front storage compartment is definitely not a good idea. Honda's are not made to operate in an enclosed area like the front storage compartment. If you want a better solution, install a power hookup in the front of your unit like the one in the back and put a cutoff switch in so you can plug into the new front hook up or the rear. You have to have the switch for this to work however. Then build yourself a cage for the back of your tow vehicle and carry the Honda there. There are posts on this type of cage others have built to carry their generators. Just go to the Search engine at the top of the page and search using that. You will come up with some pretty good ideas on how folks have built these cages and etc. Just do not put that Honda in your front storage compartment.

It can be done BUT there are a lot of problems to solve. How are you going to get fuel in it, exhaust away from your camper, keep it cool. Like said above install it in your truck bed and run a wire from the front of your camper to it. That is easy, safe and cheap.

They make an exhaust fitting to add metal hose to exhaust outside.
There is also a fuel cap to add a hose to connect to a gas can
I have a rack to mount to my rear bumper. I'll just stick with that.

I have the same Genny and thought of doing the same. I was going to include additional automatic exhaust fans along with piping the exhaust through the exterior.
After a little mock-up fitting and thinking it over I decided against it. I carry it on the rear hitch hauler like I have for years on the Wildcat. I cut the hitch hauler down to roughly 30" by 20" and reinforced with aluminum. Its carried our Honda 3000 Thousands and Thousands of miles. If I need the rear hitch for bikes or boats I can now carry the Honda in the basement storage of the Montana and simply set it on the ground under the camper or slide out with a cable lock.

OR just keep it simple. Put your genny in the front of your truck's bed and get a 30 amp extension cord from Walmart. 30 amps will run one AC just fine. We unhook and pull forward to get the genny out from under the nose and then fire it up. No problems.

This is also what we do when traveling and need power...safe and less trouble. I use a hardened chain and padlock to secure the generator to one of my 5th-wheel hitch legs. Keeps honest people honest anyway.

I used the metal exhaust line, no need to disconnect, I run the exhaust up over the side and down. Each unit has 6 feet of metal exhaust.

The factory Onan sits in the front area Yes. But. When they install it they cut out the floor (see the slots in there now) and the Onan blows the exhaust cooling air down from the bottom of the generator. Honda, not so much.
If you are generator prepped you should be able to install a male 30amp plug to the installed wires in the front compartment. Then run your extension from the generator in the truck bed to that plug. You could also make a male plug like on your power cord connection on the front compartment wall.

For what it is worth, I sent in a post in additions and improvements in 12/13/13 of a custom install of a Honda 6500 in my 3100rl. I had the gen prep but only used the transfer switch...removing the aluminum liner. It has it’s own winch to run it in and out on two removable tracks. Since it sits outside when in use, no problems with exhaust. Have been using since 2012 with absolutely no problems. Pics were included. Probably more than you need, but at least an example of what can be done.

We carry two e2000 with the parallel kit. They just fit in the gen prepped space. When needed, we get them out and run them from the ground. The pain is running the power cable clear to the rear end of the RV. I would like to put a female plug in the front end with a short chord. Does anyone know what the wire harness that came with the gen prep package is capable of??

Greg, if you have the Gen Prep you should have a Transfer Switch. I would just make a short cable attached to the Gen side of the Transfer Switch and plug the other end into your Gen setup.
