Ordered a new GMC AT4 3500

Ordered a 2020 GMC AT4 3500 SRW, Red Quartz and factory fifth prep.
Found out that GM changed the puck locations in the bed, and has no ISR adapters available. Cant believe GM would do this and not provide any availability of hitch or adapters.
Demco and Curt say they are trying to get an adapter to market quickly.

We went through the same thing with our 2013 Ram. It was the first year of the puck system. They had to drill into the bed even though I had the puck system because there wasn’t a mounting system available yet. They eventually gave me the “picture frame” at no charge, but it always had those extra holes. If you don’t have a hitch yet, I would recommend a truck specific hitch. On my 2013 Inhad to get down and install the picture frame (about 75 lbs) and pin it in place. Then, lower the hitch and put the 4 pins in it. I just ordered the Pullrite 2600 that uses the bed mount gooseneck ball. That would be another option with Pullrite or Andersen. Andersen wouldn’t work for us because of the 22% grade on our driveway.

Got the truck 3 weeks ago, 700mi on it now.
Shifts like a dream, very little RPM drop between gears.
Demco shipped the ISR adapter yesterday.
I mounted Michelin Defenders last night 295/65-20 (4080# each)

Mileage is equal to my broken in '18 right out of the box.
700mi still has not had a regeneration, but it is getting ready 91%
Def level still where it was at delivery , couldn't be happier so far

Got the Demco ISR puck adapter last night, great hammertone finish on it, and nice welds.
Hitting the road first week in October for two months

Talked to the dealer when I was negotiating with him last week. They said they would buy the base to fit for my Curt Hitch... No adapter plate, they indicated they have done this for each truck they have sold when asked...
Didn't ask price of the base as I am insisting they include it in price.

Should mention they want the base off the curt for the truck being traded in 2017 Denali 3500...... Perhaps they have stock and they are just swapping heads ??? Not sure...

Have heard but not verified yet-- If you have a ball hitch in the back receiver hitch, you can not use the new step tailgate. Has anyone verified this rumor yet? By the way, nice looking set of wheels! We had GMC stop by and display two of their new 2020 HD units at the Fall Rally in Goshen earlier this month and they seem to have gotten a lot of attention from the attendees. Enjoy that new tow vehicle.

That new step is great. My ford have what is called an old man step that has a lift up pole that is used for a hand hold to get in and out of the bed. For most of us without that the step is pretty much useless. I did not see that in the Chevy adds am I missing something?

Chevy will upgrade it's truck to the GMC standards in about 12 to 15 months according to the GMC folks at the MOC Rally.

Have the High Country 3500 on order. Love the In-Command option to go with the 2020 Legacy. Allison’s 10 speed is a bonus. Hope the GM strike doesn’t hold it up much longer.

First trip, 1350mi to Daytona Fl. truck works fantastic.
9.9 mpg, but only had 1050mi on when we left.
The cameras are a wonderful addition, the RH mirror is far superior to the last generation as you can actually see that side of the trailer now.

Couldn't be happier that we traded up

Really nice rig. Enjoy the ride.

Have you made any tight turns with it yet? Just wondering how the hitch is working as I have a Superglide right now and find it a two man job to remove. Looking for something lighter.
