Other things to do at Q
Besides the obvious getting together with friends and the RV show a couple other things are around you may have an interest in.
Just south of Blythe is Cibola National Wildlife Refuge. Cibola is a refuge that grows crops to feed winter birds. You can take a drive thru the fields and see hundreds of Sandhill Cranes as well as Snow Geese and other cool stuff. Here's their website: http://www.fws.gov/refuges/profiles/index.cfm?id=22540
Just south of Q is Kofa National Wildlife Refuge with Crystal Hill where rock hounding is allowed, Palm Canyon where we'll be hiking on Monday, high desert and mountain vistas and if you're really lucky you could get to see a Desert Big Horn Sheep. Here's their website: http://www.fws.gov/refuges/profiles/index.cfm?id=22570
We'll have brochures on these two refuges with us as well as info on Imperial National Wildlife Refuge where we work so, if you're interested, stop by our rig and we'll fix you up.
