2017 3790RD, Dometic 320 toilet will it fit?

Hi All,
so i ask this question as i do not have my RV with me its in Idaho on our property, before we left we had some serious black tank blockage issues and toilet fun.
we have a 310 Dometic in there now and having alot of issues with it want to upgrade to the 320, but not sure if it will fit, looking at the specs they seem very close but i need to make sure do not want to get all the up there and it does not fit.
leaving in a few weeks to replace it, fix the blockage and winterize the RV.
also any thoughts on Thetford vs Dometic???
appreciate any help.

Not sure what issues a 320 would fix opposed to the 310. The flush mechanism is the same in both.

Tetford is not of the quality that you want to go to. 320 is elongated bowl and sticks out in front a little more. Unless you are extremely tight in front of the bowl, there should be no issues with it fitting. If you are flushing with more than half a bowl of water in the toilet, you are creating issues.

We switched out the Thetford in our 2017 3791 for the Dometic 320 with no issues in regards to fitting in the same footprint. Sounds like your blockage issues are beyond the tank though...good luck.

Black tank issues will not come from the brand of toilet. That said, every Tetford that came on our new rigs was replaced by a Dometic. What you may have is what happened to us on the old rig. The black tank drain valve wouldn't close all the way and let moisture leak out, over time, and the solids remain.

thanks for the info on the 320...i know what the issue is in the black tank...learning lots of new things as we boon dock on our new Idaho property over the last several years, one is not having a out house and and having everyone use the RV toilet .
we are lucky we live 3 miles from a small town that has behind rural FD a water supply and RV dump. we fill a portable 100 gl tank with our Can AM..(you can drive ATV on the road in Idaho) and we also have a portable dumper we take when the black tank is full. but the lesson we learned that not having city water pressure you just cant get all the crap out ....so i had a blockage going to the tank and in the tank built up over time.
so next year there will be an out house, will water flush the tank harder i will rig up a stronger water pump...i have a 10K genny on site as well as 400 watt solar panels . before we winterize this year going to hit the tank HARD with city water pressure i bought the wand that goes down from the toilet to the tank.
