Can't change a simple light bulb

Have a 2012 3750FL. In the living room the cabinet ledge above the TV has a round recessed light on each side. I have pulled, pushed and twisted but can't get one off to change a blown bulb. Does anyone know how to remove it?

The speaker panels have to be removed (they slide right out) to gain access to the light fixture. There is a spring mount that has to be held closed to remove the fixture out away from the speaker if you want to remove the entire fixture. The glass light cover itself can be removed to change the bulb without removing the speaker cover. You have to pull the fixture out enough where the fixture body can be held and the glass cover can then be twisted off. They are halogen bulbs which are available at most home supply stores and I even got them at Walmart.
Bingo
On edit: Whoops, almost forgot, welcome to the MOC forum!!

Don't you just love it when Keystone designs things that way?

The glass turns a half turn counter clockwise to remove. The problem is that the can is just spring loaded in the hole they cut so the whole fixture will rotate. Use a table knife or similar instrument to apply a small amount of pressure between the cabinet and the white part of the can fixture. Then, you can rotate the glass. Oh, and you might want to replace the hot halogen with its LED equivalent.

Well they can't hold a candle to some of the Detroit inspired screw ups. Like engines you have to pull to change the spark plugs, or exhaust systems that need to removed to change out a starter motor. One thing the Japanese manufacturers do that should be copied in our county is making engineers spend considerable time on the manufacturing floor and in the service department to see how their designs impact things.

Tom,

I actually suggested to Bob Martin, President of Keystone (long story on how it came about), that their engineers should be required to spend at least 6 months living in their designs. Guess he didn't take my suggestion...

No they have a place called Camp Keystone where selected employees can go for time off and camp, but they only put the prototypes that don't make it to production out there so they can rationalize that any problems are because the model was a failure.

Dick,

Yes, you are right about the 1 week camping out part, but Camp Keystone, in our world, means the 4 spaces at the Service Center. The problem with the 1 week is that it is considered to be a bonus to their pay and not as an educational experience. Keystone, in my poverty-stricken life @ 50, should really think about swaying their engineers to living in their designed units. But, who am I?

When you get the opportunity to change the ones in the living room slides, you'll go through the same hassle. Very poor design.

There are about 14 or 16 of those halogen hussies in a Big Sky and then about 10 of the bladed ones including the closet plus 8 of the bayonet type. Add to that about 5 110V screw in bulbs. All this for the sake of consistency. Make the jump to LEDs and be done with it. Oh, and then there are the outside bulbs.
