Added kitchen island extension

When we ordered our 3790, we asked that the factory send us a counter top extension that was being put in another model at the time. They did, but my wife was just as happy with the butcher block topped cart on the other end of the island, but I decided to put it on last week. Turned out pretty well.

very cool

I had the same idea and have our counter top on order and are waiting for it to arrive.

The "original" look is priceless.

Looks great and the added counter space would be a real benefit. Curious if you ordered direct from Keystone of if you had to go through CW or some other provider? Price? Thanks

I had Keystone send it to me when I ordered the rig almost three years ago. I just now decided to put it up as.my wife had been happy with the cart at the other end of the island.

Hi,

how did you place the screws in the side wall of the island?
In mine this is thin like paper and I plan to put a board from inside to give the screws a solid hold.

Thanks,
Mike

That is exactly what I did. The sides of the island on iurs is two thin layers separated by about a half inch. I put boards on the inside to distribute the pressure and weight
