Maiden Voyage of our Moutnaineer 315RLS

This weekend was our maiden voyage with our 04 Mountaineer. We purchased the TT to take our Golden Retrievers with us primarily to dog shows but also to avoid staying at another Motel 6 and be able to vacation without boarding 5 dogs. We only did 220 miles round trip up to the York KC dog shows at the Acton Fairgounds in Maine but it was wonderfull. Primarily boondocking with the exception of a few hours of poll power each night. What a great way to kick back and relax. Everything worked as expected, no problems whatsoever. On the way back cross-winds were 35-40 with gusts and you'd barely feel it at 60-65MPH. The Reese anti-sway and the Prodigy braking work great. Just put the Van in tow-mode and cruise control and it averaged 10.5MPG (big surprise to us). We did figure out one thing we were missing, awning hangers to hang our 18'x10' screen off the awning for later in the afternoon.

The dogs just love it as well. Everyone has found their favorite couch or chair (what can you do . If all the up coming trips are as enjoyable and without problems, we look forward to one of the best of summers.

Oh and to top it off one of our Golden girls won "best of winners" both days...!
