Put Monty away for the winter
Winter is around the corner so it was time yesterday to pickle and tow Monty into the inside storage barn for the winter. It was sad to see that pink stuff going through those lines. We had a great summer and it was fun being involved with this forum.I will stay tuned to the forum this winter and look forward to spring to start the fun all over again. Thanks to all for the advise this summer. Stay warm.

That is the great thing about the MOC forum during the winter. We can still get our "all things Montana" fix!! We did the pink stuff yesterday as well, but at least we have one more reprieve, Thanksgiving at Myrtle Beach!! When we leave, we will once again have to pump the pink blood into the veins of the rig to last the rest of the winter!!

That's a good thing about living in the south. Our season last all year long. Not sure I could last all winter without camping. Ya'll just keep that snow up there.

Winter? This is Texas where it only gets cold a couple of times a year. For those of you that have pinked out your trailers I'll be thinking of you this weekend when we are at Ray Roberts State Park and in a couple of weeks at Holiday Park near Fort Worth with the North Texas Camping Association. Right after that it's a week out in Arkansas and E. Texas through Thanksgiving week. This is campingt weather down here, stop down and have some.

We also put our Monty away for the winter. We store it in Florida near Disney and decided we better keep a eye on it so we came along with it and since we are here we may as well live in it.
It is only 90 here today with no relief in sight. We will try to cope till April.

I think we'll just stay here in south Texas for the winter. I kind of like it when the locals down here are mowing the grass and I call back home and they are having an ICE STORM.

You're all so cruel but we do like our seasons and will just savor the moment when we see the snow starting to melt away.

I personally will stick to the belief that the so called "warm" weather creatures that inhabit this forum are afraid to admit that they will miss the snowball fights, snowmen, and snow angels. Heck I remember they had to get their cold weather fix by Jim Fischer posting snow angel pictures in shorts last winter. However, we will still follow the "warm" climate postings of our southern neighbors, if only to get our camping fix until as Noneck says, the snow starts melting!! Stay warm!!

Nope. No pink stuff here. We have plans for December and January. Just blow out the lines and keep an oil heater in there on low. We're fortunate enough to keep the Monty right here next to the stick built and ready to go on short notice!

I shot the pink juice to our Monty this past Saturday between tears. It was an incredible season and looking forward to the 2011 season. Yes it is Mod season now, I'll start that in December and do the pre-season cleaning in January, Feb and March. Polishing woodwork, scrubing and shampooing carpets followed by the annual March wash, wax and buff! Helps make the time to spring go a bit faster!!

We haven’t put ours away yet!
We still have one more weekend left in us before we do the pink stuff. I do enjoy having it at the stick house though because it’s just like an extension of our house when it’s here. We use it for an extra bed-room when desired or a get-away. It’s like having an apartment almost attached to the end of the house. We step out the stick house and right into the Monty.
For those people who work shift work I think you might understand this one. Whenever I’m getting ready for night shift I sometimes find myself out in the Monty late at night watching TV or even working on a mod or project if one comes up. It’s nice when you can do that and not worry about disturbing anyone else in the house or just simply want to get away for a while.
At this point I simply don’t know how we’d get along without it.

Just returned from a week at Georgia Veterans. Got all the way down to 53 this AM so we headed home to the panhandle. Plan on using the unit this winter so no pink stuff.
I really appreciate all the MOC'ers who stay north and enjoy the cold stuff. Helps keep the roads clear in Florida. I didn't plan on taking that jab but am still laughing at what Rich said. As they say down south "bless their little hearts".
