Damp Carpet
I was crawling around the the RV (2009 3400) the other day and discovered that the carpet along the right side of the living room slide
was wet. We had had a pretty good rain the night before. I wasn't sure if it was rain water or if one of my grandchildren had spilled something. So last night we had another big rain. Yep, it was rain water. It only gets wet on the right edge, right under the window. I have carefully examined the roof and window and see nothing askew. Anybody else experience this problem? It only happens when it rains really hard. I've got some really good advice from the people on MOC and would appreciate any advice you can offer. Thanks

it may be getting down the wall from a unseen crack between the edge of the slide and where the "tape" is--that happened to us--new caulk and it was fixed

You said it gets wet in one spot under the window....check inside the window track and you should see weep holes (slits in the metal track) to let any water that collects in there to seep out. If these holes are blocked you'll get water running inside. Take a small screw driver and clean out and open the weep holes more.

I had water coming in around window. Put silicon around top and side edges where the caulking was showing and it stopped. Guess window needs to be re-caulked.

Had the same problem, almost worded my question exactally like yours...We removed the screws around slide frame and caulked them, resealed window caulking and checked tape on top of slide. We haven't had rain since. So if it is fixed or not we do not know, but as long as it doesn't rain we are good. Just goes to prove that we should follow the sun. Teresa

Mine is getting wet right where hte carpet ends at the kitchen. It is by the slide and has been getting wet since the roof incident of 2009. I have a new rood but the seeping when it rains continues. I still haven't figured out where it is coming from.
