Leaky hydroulic line
DW and I and some friends were sitting around a bonfire last nite when I happened to glance over at the spare tire underneath the unit and noticed some oil dripping from it. Crawled underneath and sure enough there was some hydroulic oil leaking. The belly cover is a bit wet from oil. The cylindor does not appear to be leaking from either living room slide so I am guessing a fitting on a hose or the hose it itself is leaking. The reservoir is a bit low too. Making the call to the dealer tomorrow to get it fixed. Anyone out there have an issue like this before?

Yes. We have had two leaking lines on our 2006 3400 (other than the one involved in our melt down) Both problems were with the fittings which are not of the highest quality. Most NAPA stores can make a quality line using quality materials for a reasonable price.

I also have had 2 lines split on our 09 3465SA. They did this right after we brought the unit home and load it for use.

The plastic type hoses on my 3000RK are rated at 2200psi. I had a hose on the main slide to rupture. I replaced all the hoses with 5800psi from the John Deer dealer. 5800 psi was the lowest pressure hose that they stocked. If Keystone is using lower pressure hose as a "fuse", or weak link , I'll soon find out. Total cost about $150. Bill

Man, the old Challenger must be living on borrowed time! I've not had any leaks yet of any kind since the landing gear legs were changed to hydraulic 4 years ago, I'm feeling pretty lucky. And, that is because the pump they installed has a 2800 psi rated relief valve on the extend side. So, that means my hydraulic cylinders for the rooms have to be adjusted good or, I could push them right out of the coach and all of the fittings are tight.
