EPDM Roofing
Speaking of EPDM roofing. We are picking up our new Mountaineer early next week. When we did a walkaround PDI, I crawled up on the roof. This is the first trailer with EPDM that had bubbles from the factory.
I don't know whether to accept or ask for repair. None of them are big.. Some are the size of a 50 cent piece.. remember those? I think the biggest is about 3/4-1" wide by about 3-4" long.
So, what says the brain trust here? Should I ask it to be documented and go with it.. or insist that it be repaired before I drive off the lot?
We wanted a couple of things done before we pick up on Tuesday. One of the bedroom doors won't click close and he A/C won't turn off when it goes to heating cycle. This is a weird thermostat. You turn it on and to get to heat, you cycle from Off to A/C to Heat. Ya have to push the button three times.
I think those are the only items on my pick lost.. not bad. They know about the bedroom door and the A/C.. but, haven't broached the roof.

the bubbles on the roof is pretty common. they all have them or get them. Dicor says not to worry about them. we have a 2005 and they are still there. Just mention it to dealer that it was noted. we have not had any issues

Thanks.. and sorry about the duplicate message. Apple/Safari does this at times and it's VERY frustrating.

Racerjoe is correct, this question has arisen many times on the forum and the response has always been that it is common. We had some larger bubbles on the previous 3400 and they never presented a problem in the four years we had that rig.

The A/C running along with the heater is a "feature". It occurs when the Fan is *NOT set to Auto. Unbelievably, the manual documents this behavior and there have been several previous discussions here about it. I don't claim to understand why, I just accept that is the way it is.

My 06 has the bubbles, yes it looks ugly up on the roof but so far mine has been fine. I used Eternabond tape on all edges so that it is sealed pretty good.
