About to go full time

Well, My wife and I have been talking about buying an RV and going full time.. I've never owned an RV so this should be interesting .... I live in Albuquerque.. Moved here in 2010 from florida.. I had a boat there so this can't be much different as far as maintenance... You can't beat the salt... We are buying this week if a 2012 3700RL.. I still work in Albuquerque so we will only be traveling during vacation. We had decided to downsize and thought this was a good way to do it.. all or nothing... ready or not here we come!!!

Not sure you can compare the maintenance of a boat with that of an RV, but best of luck with the RV.

1retired06,

Don't forget that BOAT means Break Out Another Thousand. With the mods to my 3075RL, including solar, and the routine maintenance that we all have to do, caring for the Monty is just as much work. The big difference is that you are (hopefully) not in the water.

We did the same about 4 months ago. Make sure you pour through the archives of the MOC site. It will help you with the gazillion questions that you will come up with.

Congrats on moving to your new lifestyle! I went full time in March of 2012 and could not be happier with the decision. You will meet some great folks on the road as your new adventure begins.

I full time and purchased a 2012 3700RL and tow with a F-350 dually Lariat. Trailer has 2 ac, and washer and dryer and Generator. mfg dry weight at 12500? I weighted unit and it weight is 16600, pin weight 5500. Truck has no problems pulling even Colorado mountains. Always do home work on the weight you are towing.
