Dave,
got a chuckle about your Texas multi-tasking.

Bob, thanks for the pics. Unfortunately we have determined we can't do it because our fan is in our microwave/convection oven. We would have to take out the microwave to make the modification. We'll just keep using the back scratcher. Thanks again.

Our fan is in the range hood under the microwave. If you need to remove the microwave, it's a pretty simple task. Far easier than you'd think, at least on ours. (I had to replace ours). Just remove the screws in the facade, remove the facade, lift and pull out the microwave. It helps if you can reach the outlet behind the microwave to unplug before lifting. The microwave itself just sits there with the feet in some cups that are screwed to the cabinet floor. It took longer to remove the screws and facade than it did to pull out the microwave. Hopefully yours is set up the same way.

Thanks, Steve. We're making miles at the moment, but when we settle for a bit we'll give it a try.

Wasn't it Robbie who "patented" his closer, a wooden close-pin clipped to the center bar on the outside?

Actually Robbie is the "Talking Head" proponent of Dick Whitfields patented "closer". I am sure he gets a cut of the profits though.

Multi- tasking in Texas is created in two fashions Jerry, it's the result of being too smart or too lazy. The wife says the first option doesn't actually exist around here. It's a fig newton of the imagination.
