Just a minute now. In Sharon's defense.

Let simulate this. Now, go to a hardware store and buy one of those self-supported awning. You know, the type you get for a party.

Now, when you assemble it and put it in it's position to stay dry, what are you doing. You are "putting it up." Now, return it to the store for your money back, but before you do, "take it down."

Hmmmm!

Once my awning is in position to provide shade, I can then put it up (higher) or put it down (Lower), so it's obvious that the correct terms are "Putting it out (as in away from the trailer), then putting it in (as in towards the trailer). Now don't ask me again EDITH!!!!! Edith says you can "Extend and Retract" the awning also. I says, bring me another beer, Edith and stifle yourself.

Oh me oh my!
I never even thought about it I just always fixed the awning so that it was providing shade. When we’re finished with it I guess I just simply put it back. I’m so confused!!

However, I have the thermostat thingy down pat… it’s always "up" to turn the temp up or "down" to turn the temp down, don’t matter whether it’s the AC or the heater!
Now take that!

This is starting to sound like an Apples and Oranges question, who cares.

We care just as much about awning up/down as we do for Louvered Tailgates!
