Hi All,

I've been lurking here for the past 2 weeks while DW and I were making up our minds. Based in part on some of the discussions here we are now about 1 day and a final "sanity check" from pulling the trigger on an '09 3465SA, a BIG step up from our current SOB 30 Ft TT. Now, to find the TV for it.

Great!! Welcome the land of the known. This is a nice floor plan. On the TV, It is my opinion that you will be best served by a 1-ton dually from the brand of your choice. Your unit is fairly heavy. It is not about pulling it, it is about stopping it.

I have towed with both a 3/4-ton and now a 1-ton. Of the two, handling and stopping is noticeably better with the 1-ton dually. With this size rig, I could not comfortably go back. Whatever you decide, be safe and happy RVing............

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on the upcoming purchase. We have had our 3465SA for eight months and have really enjoyed it. Only problem we have is finding enough time to use it as much as we would like to. I also very much agree with Stiles on a TV. We had a 3/4-ton and changed to a 1-ton dually and really like it.

Well jan ,, We have a 3465SA 2009 and love it ,, if you come to the fall rally in goshen,in you will saee all the changes we did.. i pull mine with a F250 and now i added air bags but i pulled a 2006 3000RK for 3 years and that is heaver on the truck by 300 lbs so you can go srw on a 3/4 or 1 ton but you do not need a dully unless you want it,, it won't go in a car wash, it won't fit in your garage, it's too big in the malls so why,, also i pull with a short bed as you don't need a long bed unless you are going to do more than 20000 miles per year as we pull 15000 miles per year as i have a 06 with 46000 miles and 90 % is towing as we don't use it here in fl , we have a car sailer nailbender has the same unit , ask him how he loves it , by the way , in the hall i made the top cabinet into a coffee bar , we changed the dining chairs for nice wood chairs, we changed the 2 liv chairs for leather streless type chairs, we got a new mattress, and added lots of shelves and a complete basement shelve deal sailer

Thank you for the welcoming words. Based on what I've read mostly on another "all brands" forum, running the numbers and discussion with the RV salesman we've planned on a 1-ton dually. A local dealer has located a 2005 GMC that we're going to look at on Saturday.

Pulled both triggers yesterday. The dealer actually brought the truck to the house yesterday (I work from home) and we pick it up Saturday. Also put a deposit on the fiver and should be able to pick it up in about 2 weeks.

Woohoo, and welcome. Sounds like you went full auto. Congrats on your choice of 5er. Have a wonderful time with it and the new TV.

BTW, love that floorplan. I actually preferred it to ours, but got outvoted by DW.
