SNOW!!!!

It's snowing here! First time in 10 years. We're supposed to get 3 inches. Schools are closed, government is closed, businesses are closed, store shelves are empty. It will be gone by tomorrow. Having grown up in the Northeast, this is funny to me. They were interviewing people on the news last night about how they were stocking up on supplies for the "storm". A whole lot of people will be drinking sour milk and eating stale bread for weeks. It's just as well. People around here can't drive in bad weather so they should stay home. I guess I'll go find my mukluks so I can go out and brave the elements.

Hi Jim I know the feeling. We are down the road from you guys in fayetteville. We have not had snow in six years and boy do we have it now. I got up at 4am and we had a little dusting of snow. When I got up at 730am it was about two feet.It did not stop snowing until about 4pm. Same here about driving everything closes down when you say snow flak. Schools are scheduled to be close tomorrow. We never have snow it always snows all around us. My George wanted to see snow and he got snow.I told him be careful what you ask for.

OH!! BUt why in the world would they close everything down for that stuff?? Must be some pretty poor drivers up north if they can't drive thru some fluffy old cotton.
I hear tell of how some shovel and even plow it, what's that about??
And why in the world would you have 5 to 6 feet of it?? 5 or 6 Feet under the Christmas TREE??? Must be one tall tree!!!

I like snow. I miss it. I would love to be in it. I do love the sunshine in Florida though. My husband said to make sure I sign my name and not his as he doesn't miss snow one bit.

We woke up to snow yesterday in Roebuck, SC, but not a flake over in Greenville. It was just enough to be pretty, but was gone by noon!

I thought of this when reading all the stories:

It snowed throughout the night
It was not to my delight
Nor was it a pretty sight
And T'was gone by day light

Now that is the way I like snow.
