Exterior Propane Outlet?
Do Montanas come with an exterior propane outlet installed stock to connect to, say, an outdoor gas grill?
I have a 2011 Montana Mountaineer 347THT, and while it's an older rig that's no longer made, I was wondering if it might have an exterior propane outlet installed stock and where I might find it.
Thanks!

Haven't seen one on any of the Montana's we looked at but it can be gone very easily! on are 2017 HC 352RL there is a T feting under neath in line with a plug in it i'm going to run a line to the curb side to run the BBQ & fire pit off of it.

Bob & Carol, would you mind posting a photo of what the underneath in-line T-fitting looks like, so I can see if I have that too?
Was the T-fitting stock with your RV?
I'm trying to avoid cutting the propane line and brazing in a T-fitting if I don't have to.

you shouldn't braze or solder any type of gas line, flame and propane tend not to react well . you should only use threaded or flare fittings.

I have thought about doing this mod about a thousand times.......It is super easy and I even have a really long hose to get the cooker away from the camper.

scottkeen here is a pic of the line on my 352RL it is on the street side right below the propane tank along the farm. I'm going hard plumb it around the drop frame to the curb side w\Ball valves on both ends for safety and a quick disconnect for the BBQ & fire pit

I would now like to nominate myself for the Darwin Awards of the year.
Besides, I was planning on wearing safety glasses.

Thanks! I'll look for a similar fitting on my rig. So, to bring a connection to the curb side, you're just going to run a line along one of the cross members between the frame rails? Are you using (or recommend) copper or rubber tubing to go to the other side?

i'm using black pipe (Hard pipe) witch is made for gas lines. around the drop the frame to the other side with ball valves so I can turn of the gas wile we are
traveling done the road just for safety and a quick disconnect on the curb side
to plug into. copper & rubber not a good plane for that! to meany things could go wrong! Black pipe is made just for gas!

External Propane connector
I ordered the 2011 347THT back in 2010. I got it with dual pane windows, slideout awnings and the fireplace. I added the external propane connector between the ketchen slide and the read door and put a RVQ grill attachment to the right of the rear door. It was added at the rv dealer.
I only got one AC butlast year I added a Maxxair 00-05100K MaxxFan Ventillation Fan with White Lid and Manual Opening Keypad Control which blows out or in and runs off 12v when I don't have electric. It really helps circulate in the bedroom.
If you have questions about the 347THT I would be happy to help if I can.

Just as a reminder, the gas line being discussed is after the regulator, so a low pressure BBQ grill is needed. What I do with our rig when using our Weber Q grill, is I just use a 12 foot hose, connect to the curb side tank and to the grill, and have tank pressure to the grill. No need to change the plumbing and I can use any regular grill without having to modify anything.

I do the same, my 12' hose has the "speed nut" on it, very simple change over.

Rohrmann / team I have ask about what your doing at 2 RV dealers. Both said I needed a motor home “T” and a handful of other fittings?
Do you use a “T” on the curb side tank. Do you cap off the feed line from DS tank?
Just makes sense that a direct feed is all that’s needed. The appliances will be regulated by what comes with them.

I mounted a 5 gallon bottle where my generator is supposed to be. Then I had a long hose made. Mine is over 12' I think I am going to add a spot to hook the hose up to the side of mine. Like a fitting attached to the side of my trailer and run it off my 5 gallon bottle. By the way it's amazing how long my bottle lasts running my Q grill.

I usually just flip over the regulator to the street side tank and connect the hose to the curb side tank. I also carry a one gallon cylinder that can be refilled.

I am looking for 2014 keystone Montana outside Propane hook up and not able to find anything. Do I need to run a special line?

I am pretty sure the outside propane connection did not exist on 2014 Montanas. You can easily add one, but be aware of the impact of it being a low pressure connection. Your BBQ (or whatever device you use) may expect a higher pressure supply.
