Kitchen faucet stopping up?

Hi, I have a 2007 with a Moen kitchen faucet and I have a weird problem. Sometimes when turning on the water, no water will come out. I suspect there might be some kind of check valve or plunger inside of it that is causing the problem. After tapping and wiggling the faucet, it will sometimes come back on. I did a search on these forums, and found one comment about the faucet may have been designed to have a side pull-out sprayer and there may be a check valve in there, but that comment I found said that it was discussed in another topic, and I never found that particular topic. I'm sure I'm not the only one who has had this problem. Anyone know of an easy fix?
Thanks, John

Is it posssible the hose(flexible piupe) to the faucet underneath is kinked and partially blocking flow?

Some of the faucets Keystone uses turns the whole fixture, thus kinking the flex hose when the faucet spout is turned to one side. What you are talking about with the sprayer is a diverter valve. It is designed that when the sprayer opens, it shuts off flow to the spout. I have never seen one fail, other than not diverting water to the sprayer. Of course, that doesn't mean they don't.

Two flow restrictors, one in the faucet body/head and one in the extension hose.

remove both
