Condensation Forming on A/C Vents

After running the A/C, there has been some condensation forming on the A/C grille and the vent nearest to the A/C unit. Unit seems to be running okay, we've had +90 degree heat with lots of humidity for the last three weeks or so and it's quite comfortable in the trailer.

Has anyone else seen this on their A/C?

I have not seen that in my trailer but you must have high moisture inside the trailer. It would not be uncommon if you have alot of moisture production like cooking, washing/drying, showers, but I have not seen it.

I have an indoor/outdoor digital thermometer with a humidity sensor that I keep tabs of the conditions inside and temp outside of the trailer. I picked up at Wally world for about $15.00. Well worth its weight and for example our humidity runs about 41-44% in the trailer all summer long. We live our rig plugged in when at home to prevent heat damage in the Trailer and contents.

Also, check for a leak from the outside via the A/C opening.

We are also experiencing condensation on the 2 bedroom vents and on the main vent in the livingroom. I wish I knew what to do to fix the problem.

We were told to run our fan in the ON (not auto) position and on HIGH all the time to eliminate moisture and it has worked for us.

virgil47 is correct in order to do away with the moisture during hot humid conditions is to run on high all the time, this will also keep it from freezing up as well.

Running the fan on high all the time does not work. The condensation is not inside the air conditioner. It is on the ceiling and vent covers on the ceiling.

We are doing a couple more things. When we cook, we are careful to run the exhaust fan, making sure that the vent is open on the outside. Also, when we shouwer we run the Max-Air fan in the water closet, leaving the WC door open. Actually we leave the vent in the WC open most of the time.
These things in conjunction with the fan running 24-7 on high cured our condensation problems totally. hope this helps

PS, we've used our fiver so far in Florida, Georgia and NC.

You might try taking the vent cover off and look for gap around the duck work and vent cover. The vent will pop off then take a look and feel with your finger for gaps between the remaining vent part and duck. I found one that had a 1/2" gap used silicon to seal it. Hope this helps!

Running the fan on high most of the time will take care of it. If your coil gets frosted or frezes up it will blow that moist air through the duct work just as it it does at the quick cool vent.

We had the low-boy AC unit and if we were parked with a slight lean toward the front water would leak out of the main grill instead of on the roof. Our Montana dealer changed it out with the deeper style unit and we have had no more problems with water inside.
