Lighting Up

I hope those from the Spring Rally are still lighting up when they are in campgrounds. Its a great way to meet people. A lot of people stop by your Montana.

Huh? Hookman, not being to a rally of any kind yet, what are you referring to by "still lighting up"?

Hey man, ...that was some really good stuff!

Hookman is talking about putting a 10 amp fuse in the 7-pin plug at the pin box. When placed across the proper two positions, the trailers running lights light up. Not something to do while boon-docking, but kinda cool looking when at a full hookup site. Someone at the rally said that somebody asked him once "did you know that your running lights are lit up?" and he replied that "Darn it! The wife took the truck to town and she must have disconnected the trailer while the lights were still on!" Confused look on the guys face, .....priceless!

Oh okay.... I am familiar with that but didn't know that was the expression. There is also an aftermarket receptacle that plugs into the 7 pin connector that does this but you are right, this is only recommended with a full electrical hookup.

LOL! Next time and to avoid potential problems make sure your wife drives to town in the daytime. LOL

Our neighbor incorperated a Flasher into his jumper wire. All the lights flash which was neat when we first saw it but after a short time it became very annoying.

It has been a long week -- I just had this vision (with Christmas coming in only 6 short months) of seeing the park all blinking in tune to a Manheim Steamroller song --

(yes, wife is already buying for the grandkids - they will be two years old this year and old enough to 'enjoy' presents.... wish my wallet was....)

I agree with Glenn! But the flasher method would be handy in case of emergency you had to leave the Monty unhooked on a major highway.
