A very interesting video! As a response to one part of it, I want to say no matter how the US may look in comparison (education, technology, etc.) to India or China, those two countries still don't have the answer to everything, especially in technology and industry. I have had a continuing problem with my brand new Dell Studio 1735 laptop (backlit keyboard doesn't light up). I bet I've spent 10+ hours on the phone with Dell and done the e-mail thing with them an equal number of times without getting help. Today, I received what is so far the best suggestion a Dell service rep, cut and pasted below:
"I would requesting you please to reinstall quick set utility and checking if same is there. Please to let us help you."
It's the same suggestion I've received from them repeatedly, only this time I did understand that I need to reinstall some software. Now, I'm NOT sure what "same" is--and if it's there, is that good or bad? Those telephone calls? On 3 of them, I hung up because I could not understand what the person was saying. A couple of times I did understand the words, but the syntax was so convoluted that it made no sense.
Thanks for sharing that video link. I think I can use it with my AP English class as a prompt for their next argumentative/persuasive essay.
