I'm still leaving Alaska in June. Have joined Passport America, Escapees, Good Sam and will utilize military fam camps as much as possible. This should help offset expenses somewhat. Will try this for the summer (hi gas) months. Will also try parking in one CG longer and making more day trips (100 mile radius I suppose). Anyone have any thoughts on this?????

BTW: I doubt there will be any place in heaven for these money grubbing oil tycoons. This is my opionion only.....

Phil and Cathy, that's pretty much our practice, too. We started staying longer in one place because we found it so enjoyable to see things most tourists never see and to also have some down days to just relax or shop or do laundry, etc. And we save a bundle in CG fees that way, too.

Like you, we use PA, SKP, Good Sam, and AARP for CG discounts when not staying so long in one place.

The other thing I do is strap down my male ego and no longer make sure that other brand behind me doesn't pass me going up that grade. Now I just let it slow going uphill, knowing I'm saving some expensive fuel.

I hope you have a very enjoyable adventure.

It was nice enough to ride the bike today. 100 miles of errands and 6.50 worth the gas verse 15-16.00 taking the truck. Not to mention it is a blast to ride........

"You're not reducing consumption, you're just buying on a different day."

Don't think it would make any difference to anyone. If we want to go somewhere, we'll find a way.

The price of regular gasoline just jumped here in Ohio to $3.29/9. So much for a boycott dropping prices. Diesel is remaining steady at $2.75/9. Sure glad we have a Duramax.

Want prices to drop? Tell the bureaucrats and politicians to allow drilling at home and to allow more refineries to be built. The only thing that will drop the prices is when the supply catches up with the demand.

Well the gas boycott today resulted in the price of a barrel of oil increasing by 71 cents. We sure scared the H&*% out of big, oil, OPEC and all those other folks.
