propane leaks.
So CW3Jason and I both got new Montana's this year. He made mention of and repaired a propane leak he found. I thought it was incidental...now coincidental. The fitting at the cross pipe was not tightened very well and the teflon tape was not fully wrapped on the pipe threads.
I thought it was a good idea to mention this as until last night with it being still the smell of propane was obvious.
Take 30 minutes with a 4 parts water one part dish detergent solution and pour a small amount over any unions. Wait a minute or two and inspect for active bubbling.
If there is a leak, shut off all gas supply. Disconnect the propane tanks. Ensure there are no ignition sources in the vicinity. Loosen the fitting and listen for pressure release.
Remove the fitting and allow gas to disapste. Remove old teflon tape, if installed. Wrap new teflon tape in the tightening direction, clockwise, overlapping the wrap as you go. The tape needs to be tight and conform to the threads.
Thread the removed fitting by hand until tight and finish tightening using a pipe wrench or vise-grip pliers holding the pipe as you tighten the fitting. This "counter-torque will ensure you have s tight fit with out disturbing other fittings.
Depressurize the system and check again with soap solution for any addition leaks.
Be safe! If your not sure about what to do get a pro. But don't ignore the smell of propane!!
Eric

Our leak was also in the cross pipe, but came because the pipe was over threaded at the factory. Cut the end off the pipe and all was well after that.

Ditto Lynwood, use yellow tape meant for gas only OR use paste sealant for gas. John

When my 2013 3750FL was brand new I had a crimp in one propane hose leak. I replaced it and Keystone reimbursed me for the cost

Over the years, I have used and cleaned up after a lot of the soapy solution- Bit the bullet and bought a hand held battery powered leak detector- So much easier and faster to use- I have a friend in the hvac business who helped me do the deed- Am now a more relaxed "happy camper"- Just read and follow the directions- JHMO- Don

I hear you on the yellow tape. All the unions on my rig (up forward anyway) were all white Teflon. Hmmm..
