Highway of Heroes

For those of you who know our Hwy. 401 which goes across Ontario, the Provincial Government, in accordance to the public wishes, has renamed a section of this Highway from Trenton, Ontario to Toronto, Ontario "Highway of Heroes" to honour our fallen soldiers. This section of 401 is used to transport our fallen soldiers from Trenton Air Force Base where they return them from overseas to Toronto. This highway's overpasses are filled with Legion members, Firefighters, Police Officers and the public when a fallen soldier returns. FYI

Bill and Ann, thanks for the post. What an honor for our fallen heroes and their families and friends. To be acknowledged at a time like this is the least we can do ... we respect and honor our soldiers working so hard to keep the peace.
