Must Be Monday-UPDATE III

Must be Monday after a full moon. Dropped my Mustang off at the dealer this morning for an oil change. Also told them that I had smelled antifreeze the last couple of days and to check it out. They just called to let me know that after a systems check, they found a leak and it's because the manifold is cracked. So, now I have a thousand dollar oil change to pay for. Urrrrrrrr.....but I can't complain too much. It's the first major thing to happen in 154,000 miles. Anyway, just had to tell someone.

Okay, they just called again and said that I was in major need of new spark plugs and wires. The man was like "Uhhhhhh, they look like the original ones......" I said "You're right. Uhhhhhh, put 'em on."
Hopefully, next time he calls it will be to tell me that it's ready!

Well, it's ready this morning.
$1453.64

Well, I'm over the sticker shock this morning.
Wow, is she runnin' great !!
Road Trip !! LOL

That price seems reasonable for a dealer repair, as a matter a fact it seems a bit low for a cracked manifold parts and labor and spark plug wires.

Thanks Dusty, it is a bummer.

Trailer Trash 2,
That's what everyone keeps telling me, it's not that bad.
It might not be, it's just that I was prepared for $30 and
I ended up having to use $1400 of our vacation/daughter's graduation present $$!

It just plain sucks.

If this is your first major repair in 150k, you should be happy to own and operate that Mustang- I know I would!- Don
