Washing machine drains into black tank
First season with our 2018 3920FB. Had dealer install Splendide washer/dryer combo.
Took a awhile to figure out where water was going.
Just about found out the bad way but it is draining into blank tank for the half bath.
Guess we will just have to live with it but wish it was either straight to outlet or at least to grey tank.
Anyone else have washing machine draining into black tank?

Curious how you came to that conclusion. Not where it is supposed to be plumbed to....mistakes do happen but haven't heard of that one.

Montana has a history of plumbing the washer to the black tank. I remember some in 2008 and 2010. You would think they had learned their lesson. But apparently not.
Chase the plumbing to see where the washer line enters the black tank plumbing. You might be able to re-direct it to another tank (best option) or to a new drain output connection (2nd choice).

My washer goes to the grey tank. Seems most have reported it going direct to the sewer outlet. But some have reported it going to the black tank. Maybe due to differences in floorplans? Who knows.

I have a 3811ms with the Splendide washer & dryer. My rig has 3 waste water tanks.
One for the kitchen sink. One for the shower, bathroom sink, and washer/dryer. And one for the toilet.
They only way I could think that a washer could drain in to a black water tank is if was hooked up to the black tank air vent line that goes through the roof. Is that a possibility on your unit?
Also, does your unit have 2 grey water tanks, one for the kitchen and a separate one for the bathroom? I have been in a 3920FB but I do not know how many tanks they have.

great way to get double use of said water.

Our 3920fb has two black and two grey tanks. One black for front bathroom. One black for 1/2 bath which is by washer. This is tank washer drains into.
One grey tank is for front bath one for kitchen.
I am thinking will just work with it. Depending on how full black tank is will open valve at time of washing. Problem is I don't trust tank level gauges.
Thinking positive maybe the washing machine water will give black tank a good flushing.

Ok, That sounds a lot better. The 3920fb that I looked at had the washer dryer in the corner of the kitchen. I guess 1/2 bathroom black tank was just easy for them to plumb in to. The Splendide ARWXF129W that I have uses up to 16 gallons of water per cycle. IF-I set it on super wash and extra rinse with a full load. I hope that will give you an idea of how much water is being used.
And.....the 3920fb was my second choice....that hot tub though.... In the words of George Takai: "OOOOOoooooohhhhhh MMMmyyyyyyyy"

They have been doing that on and off for years sometimes it is drained into the gray tank and sometimes the black tank.I never understood why. Both our 06 3400 and this 13 3402 drain directly to the outside drain.

Our '10 2955 drained directly into the outside drain, thus no washing clothes when not on a Full Hookup Site.

My bathroom sink drains straight into the black tank. Not sure if intentional, but I followed the pipe from the floor to the tank.

Just drain it into a Blue boy when dry camping. Ours is 30 gallons so no problem in handling a load of wash.

Not a fan of lugging 250 pounds around for laundry.
Already told DW, must have full hook ups in order to use laundry.

My rv is like Richards and drains straight out . Thought it drained into the gray tank like my previous rv and found out the hard way that it doesn't. If no full hook-up then no option. Either straight to the sewer or no washing.

Will admit that we do not boon dock and we always ask for full hookups when in travel or at any campground.

My 2004 3295RK, the W/D drains into the gray tank. I wish it drained into the black tank, as they are both the same size and our habits put a lot less pressure on the black tank. Plenty of liquid in that tank is helpful as well, so long as the soap doesn't interrupt the activity of the chemical in the tank.

Washer drains into black tank
This is our 3rd Montana but the new one (3931fb) drains into the 1st black tank next to the half bath. There is a sink right there so not sure why they didn't use the gray. Now we have to check black level before doing wash. This is the only flaw we have found in this design so far. I called Keystone and their comment was it was because washer water should go into black. I disagree. Will look into replumbing.
